Day 2 on the farm is in the books. We started off getting the apple tree in it’s permanent location. It looks great where we put it. There was an apple tree in this location when I was growing up so it just felt right to put one back in this place in memory of Beck’s mom. Next on the list was to pick up the new branch piles Beck created yesterday. In the end, I helped with 1/2 a load and Beck took care of the other 2 1/2 loads by herself. Final tally was 8 pickup loads of branches.
I wanted to try to get the lot mowed next to the corn crib. The weeds got away from me there last year and were well over 10 feet by the end of the summer. Hopefully will be able to stay on top of it this year.
Taking the day off tomorrow off for Mother’s Day and it’s supposed to be raining. One more day on Monday for this trip.
