Dad’s Junk Pile, Gas Barrel Move & Snake!

Day 3 on the farm. Since we’ve been doing this, we’ve discovered on the third day, we’re pretty tired. We got a final trailer load from Dad’s junk pile. Carol stopped out and helped us move the gas barrel out. We started on the last outside clean-up area north of the machine shed. It didn’t go well because Beck came around the corner and announced in a fairly loud voice she saw something slither away in the grass. She decided not to work there, so she did a great job cleaning up with the hand mower. I started on the pile and immediately saw about an 18” brown snake. Since I was prepared, not a big deal. Started pulling galvanized sheeting up and ran into one of her offspring. Picture below. Tomorrow is Sunday and we’re taking it off. Back at it on Monday!
