Today was dad’s funeral and burial services. The minister did an absolute magnificent job with the services. Thanks to the American Legion for providing military burial rites. Thank you Terry, Gary, and Alice for making the trip down. The trip to the cemetery was by our farm. Dad had requested 4 years ago that when the hearse went by the farm, he wanted it to slow down and take its time. Once it got past the farm, he said to tell the driver to “kick it in the ass” and get down to the cemetery because he wouldn’t care at that point. We made one change and had the hearse drive into the top driveway and down around past the corncrib and out the bottom drive. I had dad’s pickup truck and tractor out in the yard. He loved this farm and it was nice to have him here one last time. The video below shows Dad’s view by the farm.
