Corn Crib Paint Prep

And we’re back! Day 1 on the farm. It doesn’t seem like it’s been 2 months since we were down. When we were last here, I had power washed two sides of the corn crib to prep it for paint. Mom said an old man stopped a few weeks ago and told her it looked like that corn crib could use some paint. 🤣 She explained that her son and daughter-in-law were planning on painting it. He left his card and was from Kentucky or Tennessee. Beck thought Mom should have hired him!

When we got out there this morning, I went down to the corn crib and was met with a definite skunk aroma. Beck was not amused. After looking at the condition of the surface, it became apparent we were going to have to do some scraping. There are no amazing before and after pics today. We just scraped and brushed. We’ll probably be doing it again tomorrow. We’ll hopefully be able to paint on Wednesday. The good news is we have a new paint sprayer and I’m hoping I get more paint on the crib than myself!
